Smart Home Tracking App (UI/UX)

The Doorway Effect is a cognitive phenomenon where people tend to forget or lose information when they move from one environment or context to another. This “mental reset” can cause the brain to prioritize the formation of new memories in the new environment, resulting in the loss of previously held information. This effect can be especially prevalent among older adults.

“Smart Home Tracking” is a UI/UX app and human sensory design project that takes the Doorway Effect into account and caters to the unique needs and abilities of older adult users as they age. The app has been thoughtfully designed with the specific needs of older adults in mind.
